The general objective: is to provide the necessary materials at the time or quantity required in order to ensure that the organisational units complete their work without delay.
Mission
- Implementation of approved plans and programs.
- Application of regulations and instructions related to the rules and procedures of government warehouses.
- Receiving materials from suppliers and ensuring that quantities are matched with supply orders.
- Participation in material inspection work to ensure compliance with the conditions and specifications.
- Storing different materials in warehouses on a scientific basis, in terms of classification, coding and choosing the appropriate location for storage according to the nature of the material.
- Managing inventory and protecting it from damage and loss.
- Disbursement of orders for the various units of the stored items, according to the approved exchange orders according to the applicable regulations.
- Accepting the return after examining it and preserving it until it is disposed of in accordance with the applicable rules.
- Carrying out the periodic inventory, matching the exchange card with the actual quantities, and making the necessary adjustments according to applicable regulations.
- Preparing periodic statements on inventory movement in warehouses, including stagnant and stacked items, proposing recommendations for disposal, and submitting them to the Director General of Administrative and Financial Affairs.
- Organizing and saving files, supporting documents, notes, minutes and cards of warehouses according to the applicable rules.
- Providing the necessary facilities for sudden and annual inventory committees, internal audit teams, and the inventory control unit.
- Ensure the availability of all security and safety means inside the warehouse and coordinate with the Security and Safety Department.
- Suggest ideas to develop a warehouse to protect the inventory and simplify exchange and storage procedures.
- Determining the department's needs regarding human resources, equipment and materials and following up on providing them.
- Identifying training needs for department staff to nominate them for suitable training courses.
- Preparing periodic reports on the department's activities, achievements and proposals for performance development.
- Any other tasks assigned to it within the limits of competence.
