The administration of communication has a significant role in providing official contact between the various sectors of the university. As a result, the Department became one of the critical and practical departments supporting the university's growth. It aspires to deliver all official postal materials to/from the university's employees either by regular or express mail and focuses intently on ensuring fast delivery of all postal materials.

Organizational Liaison: It is affiliated with the General Administration of Administrative and Financial Affairs.

The general objective: is to organize the process of receiving and directing all incoming and outgoing correspondence to/from the university and transferring and distributing correspondence within it.

 

Mission:

  • Implementation of approved plans and programs.
  • Application of regulations and instructions on delivery of correspondence.
  • Defining the technical regulations, rules and procedures regulating the work of administrative communications in the university and following up on their implementation after approval.
  • Receiving all incoming transactions and correspondences to the university, submitting them, and referring them to the competent organizational units at the university, taking into account not opening confidential and private envelopes.
  • Receiving all outgoing correspondences, recording them, sending them, or delivering them.
  • Registering incoming and outgoing circulars and distributing them as directed.
  • Responding to beneficiaries' inquiries, directing them regarding incoming and outgoing correspondence, and providing officials with a copy of any transaction upon request.
  • Transferring and distribution of correspondence within the university.
  • Suggesting systems and appropriate devices for controlling the administrative communications at the university, operating and maintaining them in coordination with the General Administration of Information Technology.
  • Following up on all transactions received by the university that require feedback or response.
  • Participating in determining the Department's needs regarding human resources, equipment, and materials and following up on providing them.
  • Participating in identifying training needs for department staff and nominating them for appropriate training programmes.
  • Preparing periodic reports on the Department's activities, achievements and proposals for performance development.
  • Any other tasks assigned to it within its competence.
