The Department of Transport and Movement at the Northern Border University is one of the leading departments of the university because it provides services to all, including participation in community service outside the university. It has a remarkable role in securing all faculty members' transportation inside or outside the university, such as buses and cars. The Movement and Transportation Department also has a small vehicle fleet and large, medium and small buses for all male and female students and employees inside the university and the northern border region. In addition. It provides scientific and practical trips, student visits inside the Kingdom and receiving university guests from the airport.

The general objective: is to provide transportation and movement services for all organizational units in the university and its faculties according to regulations and instructions.

  • Manage the distribution of various vehicles for university transportation.
  • Determine the periodic maintenance and follow up on their implementation.
  • Follow-up of periodic inspections of transportation and repair of faults.
  • Follow-up on transport contracts with contractors.
  • Ensuring the proper use of transportation.
  • Securing the transportation needs of fuels, oils and other consumables.
  • Transportation insurance and follow-up of accident procedures.
  • Completing and renewing procedures for driving licenses.
  • Determining the department's needs regarding human resources equipment and materials and following up on providing them.
  • Identifying department staff training needs and nominating them for appropriate training programmes.
  • Preparing periodic reports on the department's activities, achievements, and proposals for performance development.
